Privacy Policy

Effective date: 29 July 2026 Version: 1.0 Controller: LLP “WelGames” · BIN 260540025411

This policy explains what personal data WELGAMES collects when you visit this website or play one of our games, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the rights you have over it. We wrote it in plain language on purpose — if anything is still unclear, write to us and we will explain.

01 Who we are

WELGAMES is an independent game studio. The company responsible for your personal data — the data controller — is:

Legal name
Limited Liability Partnership “WelGames” (ТОО «ВелГеймс»)

We process personal data in accordance with the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan No. 94-V of 21 May 2013 “On Personal Data and its Protection”, and — where our players are located in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom — the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

02 What this policy covers

This policy applies to:

  • this website and any other website we operate under the WELGAMES name;
  • the games we develop and publish, whether played on our own platform (Welwise Games) or distributed through third-party stores and portals;
  • e-mail, phone and messenger conversations you start with us about partnerships, press or jobs.
Important

When you play one of our games on a third-party platform — Google Play, App Store, Yandex Games, Poki, CrazyGames, GameDistribution, Playgama, Nintendo eShop, Discord or YouTube — that platform is a separate, independent controller of the data it collects about you. Their privacy policies apply alongside ours, and we do not control them. See section 12.

03 Data we collect

3.1 When you browse this website

This website has no user accounts, no registration and no contact forms. We do not ask you for your name, address or payment details anywhere on it. What is processed is limited to:

DataWhere it comes fromOptional?
Your cookie choiceStored locally in your browser when you answer the cookie bannerNo — strictly necessary
Technical server logs: IP address, browser and OS version, requested page, timestamp, referring pageGenerated automatically by our hosting provider when your browser requests a pageNo — necessary to serve and secure the site
Usage statistics: pages viewed, time on page, approximate region, device typeAnalytics cookiesYes — only with your consent
Campaign performance dataMarketing cookiesYes — only with your consent

If you e-mail or call us using the contacts on this site, we receive whatever you choose to tell us — typically your name, your e-mail address and the content of your message.

3.2 When you play our games

What is collected depends on the game and the platform it runs on. Across our catalogue this may include:

  • Device and technical data — device model, operating system, language, screen resolution, approximate region derived from IP address, and a randomly generated device or session identifier.
  • Gameplay data — level progress, scores, in-game settings, session length, which features you use. This is what lets us balance difficulty and decide what to build next.
  • Stability data — crash reports and error logs, so we can fix what breaks.
  • Advertising identifiers — where a game is supported by advertising, the platform’s advertising ID may be processed by our advertising partners. In games directed to children we request contextual, non-personalised advertising only.
  • Platform-provided identifiers — if you sign in through a platform (for example a Yandex Games or Google Play account), that platform may pass us a pseudonymous player ID so your progress can be saved. We do not receive your password.
  • Multiplayer data — in our online titles, the nickname you choose and your in-session actions are visible to other players in the same match.
What we never collect

We do not collect your real name, home address, national ID number, biometric data, precise GPS location, contact lists, photos, microphone or camera input. We never receive or store your bank card details — all purchases are processed entirely by the platform’s own payment system.

04 Why we use it, and on what legal basis

We only process personal data where we have a lawful reason to do so:

PurposeLegal basis (GDPR Art. 6)
Delivering the website and the games, saving your progress, running multiplayer matchesPerformance of a contract with you (Art. 6(1)(b))
Keeping our services secure, preventing cheating, fraud and abuseOur legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f))
Fixing crashes and improving game balance using aggregated statisticsOur legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f))
Analytics and marketing cookies; personalised advertisingYour consent (Art. 6(1)(a)) — you may withdraw it at any time
Replying to your e-mail, partnership or job enquiryOur legitimate interests, or steps taken at your request before entering a contract
Meeting accounting, tax and other legal obligationsLegal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c))

Where we rely on legitimate interests, we have weighed those interests against your rights and freedoms. You can object to that processing at any time — see section 10.

We do not carry out automated decision-making that produces legal effects concerning you, and we do not sell personal data.

05 Cookies and similar technologies

Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser. We also use localStorage, which works similarly. We group them into three categories:

CategoryWhat it doesConsent needed
Strictly necessary Remembers the choice you made in the cookie banner so we stop asking; supports security and basic load balancing at our hosting provider. No — the site cannot work without them
Analytics Counts visits and shows us which pages and games attract interest, in aggregate. Not used to identify you. Yes
Marketing Measures how our game campaigns perform and limits how often the same promotion is shown to you. Yes

Nothing beyond the strictly necessary category is loaded until you opt in. Rejecting analytics and marketing does not limit any part of the site.

You can change your mind whenever you like:

  • use the link, also available in the footer of every page;
  • or clear cookies and site data for this domain in your browser settings, which resets your choice entirely.

Most browsers also let you block cookies globally or send a “Do Not Track” signal. We honour browser-level blocking; note that blocking strictly necessary storage means the cookie banner will reappear on every visit.

This website also loads web fonts from Google Fonts and 3D rendering libraries from public content delivery networks. These providers receive your IP address as a technical part of delivering the file. They do not set advertising cookies through this site.

06 Children’s privacy

Many of our games are family-friendly and attract younger players, so we take this seriously.

  • We do not knowingly collect personal data from children below the age of digital consent in their country (13 in most jurisdictions, up to 16 in parts of the EEA) without verifiable parental consent.
  • Games we designate as directed to children are configured for contextual advertising only — no behavioural profiling, no advertising ID used for personalisation, no cross-app tracking.
  • Our child-directed titles are submitted under the relevant programmes of the platforms that host them, including Google Play’s Families policy, the App Store Kids Category requirements, and comparable rules on web portals.
  • We do not ask children for their real name, address, photograph or phone number, and we do not offer open free-text chat in games directed to children.
Parents and guardians

If you believe your child has provided us with personal data, write to [email protected] with the game name and the device or player ID if you have it. We will delete the data and confirm to you within 30 days. You do not need to give a reason.

07 Who we share data with

We do not sell personal data and we do not share it for anyone else’s independent marketing. We do share limited data with the service providers we need to run the studio:

  • Distribution platforms and portals — Google Play, Apple App Store, Yandex Games, Poki, CrazyGames, GameDistribution, Playgama, Nintendo, Discord, YouTube. They act as independent controllers for the data they collect themselves.
  • Hosting and content delivery providers — who store the website and game builds and serve them to your device.
  • Analytics providers — only where you have consented, or in the aggregated, non-identifying form platforms report to every developer.
  • Advertising partners — in ad-supported games, subject to the child-directed restrictions in section 6.
  • Crash and error reporting tools — to diagnose faults.
  • Professional advisers and authorities — accountants, lawyers, or a competent authority where we are legally required to disclose.

Service providers act on our documented instructions under written data-processing agreements, and may not use the data for their own purposes.

If the studio is ever restructured, merged or acquired, personal data may transfer to the successor entity. We will notify you here before that takes effect and the successor will be bound by this policy or an equivalent one.

08 International transfers

We are based in Kazakhstan and our players and partners are worldwide, so personal data may be processed outside your country — including in the European Union, the United Kingdom, the United States and the United Arab Emirates.

Where data is transferred out of the EEA or the UK, we rely on an adequacy decision where one exists, or otherwise on the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses together with additional safeguards. Where data is transferred out of Kazakhstan, we transfer only to countries providing protection of personal data, as required by Article 16 of Law No. 94-V. You may request a copy of the safeguards we use by writing to us.

09 How long we keep data

DataRetention period
Cookie consent record12 months, then we ask again
Technical server logsUp to 12 months, then deleted or anonymised
Analytics dataUp to 14 months in identifiable form; aggregated statistics may be kept indefinitely
Game progress and save dataWhile the game is live and you keep playing; deleted on request, or within 24 months of your last session
Crash reportsUp to 90 days
E-mail correspondenceUp to 3 years after the last message, or longer if a contract requires it
Accounting and tax recordsAs required by Kazakhstan law — currently 5 years

When a retention period ends we delete the data or irreversibly anonymise it so it can no longer be linked to you.

10 Your rights

Wherever you live, you may ask us to:

  • Access — tell you what personal data we hold about you and give you a copy.
  • Rectify — correct data that is wrong or incomplete.
  • Erase — delete your data (“right to be forgotten”), where we have no overriding legal reason to keep it.
  • Restrict — pause our use of your data while a dispute about it is resolved.
  • Object — stop processing based on our legitimate interests, including any direct marketing.
  • Port — receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format, or have it sent to another controller.
  • Withdraw consent — at any time, without affecting processing already carried out. For cookies, use the link.

Write to [email protected]. We answer free of charge within 30 calendar days. We may ask for enough information to confirm the request really comes from you — for example the player ID shown in the game’s settings screen.

If you are unhappy with our answer, you may complain to your local data protection authority. In Kazakhstan this is the authorised body for the protection of personal data under the Ministry of Digital Development, Innovation and Aerospace Industry. In the EEA it is the supervisory authority of your country of residence.

11 How we protect data

  • All traffic to this website and our game servers is encrypted in transit with HTTPS/TLS.
  • Access to production systems is limited to the crew members who need it, protected by strong authentication.
  • We collect the minimum data a feature needs, and prefer pseudonymous identifiers over anything that names a person.
  • We review our providers’ security posture before onboarding them.

No system is perfectly secure. If a breach ever affects your rights, we will notify the competent authority within 72 hours of becoming aware of it and inform affected players without undue delay, as required by law.

12 Third-party platforms and links

Our games run on platforms we do not control, and this website links out to partners. Once you follow such a link or launch a game inside a third-party portal, that company’s own privacy policy governs the data it collects. We recommend reading the policy of whichever platform you use:

  • Google Play and Google services
  • Apple App Store
  • Yandex Games
  • Poki, CrazyGames, GameDistribution, Playgama
  • Nintendo
  • Discord and YouTube

We are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of these third parties.

13 Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our games, partners or the law change. The effective date at the top always shows the current version. If a change materially affects your rights, we will highlight it on this page and, where the change concerns cookies, ask for your consent again through the banner.

We recommend re-reading this page occasionally. Previous versions are available on request.
